Default What color are my seats???

Hi everyone, I'm a new member/owner here. I bough a great 2002 X with the deep-red exterior and a light tan interior. I'm trying desperately to find the color code/name for my leather. I have a repair to make, and I'm trying to match it perfectly. I can't seem to find the info anywhere. Any idea if the color codes are located in the car? Would a dealer know if I gave them my VIN? Thanks for any help! -Jeff

Ask dealer/Jag, they'll require VIN and should be able to provide a list of the trim and options the car left the factory with.
Here's a chart for the names and codes, btw:
Jaguar Leather Trim Colour Chart

EDIT:
Welcome!

Welcome to the forum jeffmartinaz,

Post back here with the 3 letter Trim Code off the label on the driver's door for the answer.

Default Interesting info but...

I can't find mine listed. 2005 X-Type, Vin ending in WE30990, Paint Code on sticker is JHM and Trim Code is NED. Pacific Blue is what I've been told but the trim?

From the colour chart I linked in the 2nd post;

Aonsithya-thanks very much! One reason why I love this forum is the Jag community is so helpful. I appreciate it.

Thanks everyone for the help. I don't have a label on my driver door. I ended up calling a dealership with my VIN. It was a bit of a mystery since they gave me three different colors and none were directly for my seats. We determined the carpet was Sable, the dash was Ivory, and the headliner was Oatmeal. Service guy and I decided my leather matched the headliner...so Oatmeal it is.

I'm looking forward to learning more in this forum. Just bought my 2002 X-Type a few days ago. I'm part of a great Yamaha RoadStar forum with loads of great info. Expecting the same over here!

Based on my VIN, Jaguar sent me a list of trim details, in the following format:
Trim Details
Dove
Platinum 1916
Bond grain Leather Seat
Leather Steering Wheel
Granite/Dove Facia
Nimbus Grey Headlining
Granite Carpet
Dove
Granite Seatbelts
Birds Eye Maple
I've no idea why "Dove" is listed twice though, but it's the colour of the seats and centre console.

You might google up a brochure for your year of X-Type and see the trim combination options from there? Hmm, to think that in your case the "oatmeal" seats wouldn't match the ivory dashboard? That sounds odd, can you post a photo?

Jeff, "Oatmeal" doesn't sound right as an X-Type colour in 2002. I've looked up the '02 chart that came with my car (Jag Doc JLM/10/35/11/02), and the closet colour probably is Sand. Of course, these could just be the colours available in Australia.

Here are some images of the doc (sorry, rather crappy iPhone pics).

Regards

Rob

It may just be a color scheme difference between countries. I called a second dealer just to check, and was told the same....Oatmeal. Ordered the leather stain and I'm crossing my fingers it's the correct one. I've had a lot of success repairing leather in the past, and I'm really looking forward to making these shine again. Thanks for the help!
