what to look for when checking out a 2006 x-type
Hello! I've been a pleased owner of a 2004 x-type for a number of years now. However, at the 215k miles mark, I started getting the dread low pressure at idle. Replacing the sensor didn't make it go away... But STP did. So my assumption is that the engine is finally starting to give up the ghost. Unfortunately, now is a terrible time to try and replace it.
However...I did spot a 2006 x-type *wagon* for about 6k with only 90k miles on it, which seems like it would tide me over for a few more years!
I'm going to go check it out today. There are things I know to look for from my car- uneven wear on the tires, that weird vibration at 60 mph, signs of water on the passenger floor, the standard looking for leaks. But are there other things? Or maybe stuff that was more of a problem with the later x-types?
