Default What size are driveshaft bolts?

Does anyone know the size of the drive shaft bolts ? M6 x ? And what is the thread pitch?

My driveshaft broke internally between the transfer case and carrier bearing and started clacking so bought a reman one that was supposedly dynamically balanced at 3500 rpm but now I have the dreaded whine every now and then sounds like a turbo spooling up so I was going to put on new bolts and torque wrench them to see if it helps....

I replaced all 12 of mine (front and rear). I bought them from the dealer. They are one time use so I assume they are torqued to yield. Torque I think is 36 lb-ft but let me check that tonight to be sure. The new one have a dot of locktite on them. If your bolts are backing out they might be ones that were reused, and if designed for torque to yield they probably aren't ever going to hold.

Whine? If it comes at about 24 mph and not at road speed it's probably the center carrier bearing, Some you can shoot a grease needle in some you can't, also could be bearing in the transfer case spline. It seems to be common with the X types.
