is it a wheel bearing?

is it a wheel bearing?
I have a humming sound which seems to be different dipending on the road I take and how fast i am going. I also have a small shake in my stearing wheel, the faster I go the more it shakes. It is most noticable at about 70 mph. The humming noise is worrying me. If it's a bad bearing, i'm selling the car. Any one have this issue before.

Couldn't help but ask...You're going to sell the car because of a bad wheel bearing?
It's almost like leaving a girlfriend because she's got her periods!
No offense.
Jack the wheel in the air and try to move it in different directions (not to roll it). If it moves - here you go. A wheel bearing it is.
P.S. It can be replaced in a couple of hours.
Cheers

I lifted the car up and none of the tires seem to have any movement to them at all. Could it still be a bad bearing?... the humming sound is there.
... and yea, i'd most likely sell it, we just got the car in June and already had the transmission replaced, and then the transfercase seals replaced too... (about 5K)... the truth is that these cars have a bad reputation of being lemons. We're just not ready to throw thousands of dollars at it a month.
I'd really like to keep it but...
sure would like to hear what Thermo's opinion is....
