Default Wheel cap upgrade

I have heard a few guys talking about wanting something different for their wheels and whatnot and I decided to try something out. My center caps were starting to look pretty bad (one is now actually essentially a silver cap with no design on it at all). So, I found some center caps from an XJ6 and installed them. This cap has the raised jaguar face on it. I like the looks of it. Look at the pics and see what you think.

The old cap next to 2 new caps. I kinda wish I could have found these in BRG, but for $44 for a set of 4 caps, I can live with this color as I think it looks good with the car.

The new cap installed. Installing all 4 caps took all of about 5 minutes. A small jeweler's screw driver and an o-ring pick was all that was needed to pop the covers off and slap the new covers on.

The old caps. This was the best of the caps. They needed replacement anyways. So, I went for something slightly nicer. We'll see if anyone around town notices.

I like them. I am in the market for wheels for my XK8 and will need center caps.

I think you need to lay off the curbs. It kind of negates whatever you do to the center caps if I'm honest.

Jeremy, yes, I need to fix the wheels and get rid of the curb rash. But, that will be a project for later this year once summer hits.

Beauty of the Jag wheels is that they've had the same center bore for years so there are at least a dozen different designs to choose from.

Red/chrome growler with Jaguar text - current models!
Yellow/chrome growler with Jaguar text - current models!
Green/chrome growler with Jaguar text - current models!
Black/chrome growler without text

Chrome "heritage" retro logo with black or red engraving

Have a look on ebay.co.uk there is a huge selection.

I have the 18" BBS rims (10 spoke) on my X-type, they have been powder coated black. I also painted the calipers red. I have the Black and Red Mina Gallery Center Caps.
Looks Amazing!
