Wheel possibilities, photoshopped..

Wheel possibilities, photoshopped..
So, my X is screaming for new wheels. Well, mainly just tires, but I see that as a nice excuse to find some new wheels while I'm at it.
I haven't seen many aftermarket ones that struck my fancy, and I really wanted to stick with oem Jag wheels. I LOVE several of the S-type styles, but was never sure of fitment. I've heard several different stories on this, and I believe I may have to run small spacers in the rear to keep the inside of the tire from rubbing the shock tower..
But, last night I saw an X on ebay with 17" chrome S wheels, and they appeared to fit fine.. so maybe it's not that big of a deal...?
The car as it is:
The wheels I really have my heart set on..
And a few other ideas..

RE: Wheel possibilities, photoshopped..
Aquills got competition for the title of photshop king....lol
Nice one 310
I like the 10 twin spokes you prefer, but the 5 twin spokes are really nice too
What about these beauties? Only £280 for the set of 4 if I remember rightly although not OEM. However, the centre cap will fit I think so who's to know ( other than you fo course )

Nice to see you back postin SoCal
I forgot to mention...even though the pic I posted of the rim was a 4 stud arrangement, the one for sale was actually a 5 stud version that will fit the X!
No doubt everyone noticed but was just too polite to say?
YEAH RIGHT........lol..........you all missed that one

Yeah guys I must say the aruba's are the hottest! 310 stay away from the many spoked wheels as they are not worth the work! I all but had a set of aruba's in my possession but the guy only had 3 with tires for like 2 or 300 hundred bucks on craigslist...I talked to the guy and almost bought them but he never called me back...the bad part was that I'd either have to wait to find the 4th or spend 300 on one rim and than more for a new tire and have to replace the other 3 or find a used one...aftermarket are cheaper most of the time...
Go with the aruba...there is a place on ebay from michigan that has all jag rims refurbed for a decent price!
But for sure go with the aruba's they are way better and they are 18's so they'd fit nice in the wheel well!

RE: Wheel possibilities, photoshopped..
Thanks for all the input. I'm liking the arubas, but I'd really like to see them on a car in person. Our local dealer hasn't had one for as long as I've been keeping tabs on their inventory, so who knows..
I like the multispoke look, but I do think that cleaning them would be a pain. Not to mention it's hard to go wrong with a nice 5-spoke.
I think a little more photoshopping may be in order..

310...........I have the 16 spoke rims on my A6 and although I have grown to like them they were not my first choice, but what was on the car when I bought it. They are a real bitch to clean but you get used to it. Like anything else, keep on top of it ( I do them around 4 times a week I guess ) and they're never too hard to clean.
I really like the twin 5 spoke ones I posted and variations on them.....Less is more when it comes to rims I always think

Go aruba's...17's will leaving you wanting more! Trust me! Plus if you get anything to dress up behind the rims....ie- slotted/drilled rotors, paint calipers or anything else with the others you wouldn't see these things! Man those are some nice refurbed rims jim!

Thanks Aquill, but I'm not too happy with them. Ok for a first attempt. Please believe me when I tell you that the originals I have sanded down waiting got the Wurth paint to arrive will be 150% better
Those Arubas are real nice, did you see the ones on Ebay that I gave the link for?

RE: Wheel possibilities, photoshopped..
I was very tempted to get the ons I posted or a set of the Arubas I saw on Ebay too.
But I was sorta stuck as the whole reason for doing this was so that I could have a full size alloy spare instead of the space saver which meant I had to have the same obviously.
Also the tyres were in pretty good shape and I dint want to have to spend another £500 for a good set of tyres to add to the mountain I seem to be spending on it right now
