I'm not running any spacers just OEM Proteus wheels with a +40mm offset so it sits pretty flush with the fenders and no scraping or anything.

Any thoughts? I like a good raspi sound but not too loud nor too quiet

 

Most of the bass and volume comes from what type of mufflers you are running. Mine are straight through design and so they are really loud. The Borla mufflers you are looking at should sound much more tame than mine. For the X Type, most of the raspiness comes from replacing the center resonator with a straight pipe. So it is just a matter of what sound you want to achieve. Or you could install the mufflers for a while and see if you want and even sportier sound afterwards.
