White smoke x type turbo blown
Hi guys
I was driving my x type last night and felt a little cough on acceleration. I then heard a rattle/clunk and white smoke came out the back. I pulled over and turned the car off for a few mins. When I tried to start it again it took a lot of cranking to eventually get it started. When it started it sounded fine so I thought I would pull away slowly just in case. Then the whole car/town was engulfed in a lot of white smoke. I mean loads of it. The green flag man came out and started it again an told me to keep revving it so he could hear for any noises. Then a large clatter and the engine died. Amongst more smoke. Now it just won't start. Am I right in thinking this is a blown turbo ? Will it have possibly caused more damage to the engine? Is this the end of my jag???? I have only had it three weeks. It's a 2006 2.0d s x type with 90k on the clock. Full jag service history. It has been suffering with hot start issues since I got it two weeks ago. Any advise would be gratefully received
Thanks
