who drifts their x type in the snow?
#21
Holy cow - these X-Types drift great!!! This is my first winter with an X-Type and we just got our first real snow this week (nearly a foot of snow!) and I've been having a blast. First, with the DSC ON, the car drives very well - no drama whatsoever - smooth acceleration and it straightens things out nicely when things get loose. I do notice the DSC is a little intrusive and can really slow the car down in the deep stuff (however, it is nice to have when just cruising down a well plowed road). But with he DSC OFF, the X-Type becomes a completely different animal! It understeers pretty badly at first, but with a slight goose of the throttle the back end comes around nicely and then by mashing the gas it literally goes almost a full city block completely sideways before the AWD straightens things out again - woohoo!!! Oh, and of course, all stunts are performed by a professional driver on a closed course. Do not try this at home. :-)

Makes me feel bad for anyone with and AWD that DOESNT have a 60% rear bias. That is where the fun comes from!
