Pretty sure people on here that had 18's with 8.5" wide rubbed. You try to go 9.5 I'd love to see what would happen. Everyone on here is going to probably laugh at you as you are trying to put not only 19's on but 19's wider than 7.5". I believe they have all said that just to fit 19's without bottoming out with 4 people in the car your sol, let alone the fact that you are looking for 8.5 and 9.5 inch wide rims. Are the rims new or used? What are they off of if used? With deep modification they may fit but not stock. You widen the rear out I'd imagine it'd look horrendous! And I've read that using different widths on awd cars is not the way to go...but thats just what I've read havn't actually tried before. Good luck let us know!

What a lot of people do is roll the fenders and get spacers, but like Aquill said, going wider on an all wheel drive car is not suggested. A friend did it on his WRX and he was aligning his car once a month!

My set-up is 19x8 w/ 215/35/19 and a stock suspension and it rubs only when people are in the back and have alot of stuff in the trunk. I could actually go w/ a 225/35/19 tire and I'll be okay; planning to do so when the 215's bald out.

A wheel width of 8.5 will rub at times, but w/ 9.5 you are just asking for it.

And I agree w/ both bigdreams & aquill1, keep your tires & wheels all the same size on an AWD car.

Hey gotti with 215's your rubber doesn't cover the edge of your 8" wide rims do they? How does it look considering there is now way they do? Not making fun at or poking fun of just curious. I would like 19's but they want too much just for the tires. I found these rims that I love...only in 18 but hey for 13-1400 with tires.... Man I love these rims!

I love them because they are similar to the aguilla but bigger and chrome!

These guys are right, 9.5 in the back will rub for sure. I have 18's by 8.5 and they rubbed like crazy with a 255/35/18 tire, and with a 225/40/18 tire not so bad. if u plan to drop it, the 225/40/18's rub a lot too. i wouldnt advise goin with the 9.5, i think max width for the rear should be 8. Ive heard staggered on AWD is not reccommened, but seen it done on several cars without any problems. But they wernt jags, so i dunno.

aquill1, you're right the 215's doesn't fully cover the edge for the wheel. I plan to get some 225's and they will cover the wheel edge.

Yeah, I agree that the tires are pricey; but you'll love the look of the 19's. They're perfect!

I'd like 19's but they want alot for the rims too. Can't quite find ones I want. The mille miglia r5 or something like that I would have bought. They were discontinuing them on tirerack.com and they were only like 189.99. That was last fall though! They weren't chrome which kind of prevented me from getting them but they were a good deal. I'm kind of afraid to put some 35 series on this car for the roads here in Michigan are atrocious!

I thought the same thing about 35 series tires and drove EXTRA careful for the first couple weeks. After hitting a couple unavoidable potholes (San Francisco streets are notorious for them!), driving twice up to Tahoe, and a couple long road trips; my confidence in the 35 series tires has risen.

Also I paid about $1600 for my wheels and tires at a local custom wheel shop in San Jose, CA, not bad for some 19's.

No not bad at all. Did they have anything else in 19's than those? I'll be checking into them once I get closer to affording some! Just bought new video camera as my 4 month old $450 dollar sony dvd camcorder got jacked at the local flea market this weekend! Sucks! Trying to sell some car audio stuff and I end up getting my stuff jacked! SOB's! Gotta have the new one though because not having one since Saturday feel like my wife and I are going to miss our sons best moments (pretty much ever moment is the best one!)

Oh yeah I'm looking for something more like 5 spoke chrome wheels. I like the race look while being simple. These are some of my favorite-Alba blaize-Had them on my 97 monte size 18" but they still want 1800 for rims and tires! My buddy got 20 enkei chrome wheels for his bonneville with tires installed for 1600! Not paying 1800 for 18's! I like the mille miglia r6 moda wheels but they aren't chrome and I don't know where to get them. : (

You guys didnt like my wheels either when i posted them, im still scarred from the bashing ,,|,, lol, j/k. those 5 spokes look hot aquil, its your car after all, so screw their opinions (said with the utmost respect, of course) I dont like chrome wheels, they crack and usually end up looking cheesey and unatural on these cars. Those ones you put up are perfect.

I've seen these rims on ebay now since I bought the car, I never thought they looked that great but once I saw them on a jag I was like hmmmm. not that bad! Here's a pic! Like I stated they don't look that good on the site on ebay but on the x I think they look pretty good! I'm not sure as to how much fun I'd have cleaning them though! Hey somekidz, I've actually had a set of 18"s on my monte carlo and didn't have too bad of luck with the chrome. Biggest problem was with freaking dirt road and rocks! No longer live on a dirt road though!
