No snow, but I think I can pull this one off with a little help from an Xmas theme display and my new Rebel XTI. We'll see! I'll be in before the 31st.

The last shoot https://www.jaguarforums.com/m_23723/tm.htm with that crappy little point and shoot outta not have a shot in hell against my new 10.3 MP XTI that my mother was nice enough to get me for Xmas.

I've been dying to shoot something.....

Man I want the xti...[:@]...my father in law was going to give me his when he got it from the insurance company but ended up keeping it...instead I'm stuck with the original digital rebel...I love the sound the shutter makes when you take pics with the xti way more than mine...but there are more features I like on mine that make me not want the xti...nice cam though!

I didn't want to go too all out since the car was nasty froma weeks driving in the rain and the fact I didn't bring my tripod for night shots (I just wanted to take a test run of the scene) so here's what it looked like out there tonight with some off the hand shots.... nothing special.

(why can't you stick picture bb code url's in here?)

Damn.............I missed the bikini pics[:@].....Any good ones?.....lol
Hmmm..........If they were deleted I must track them down and have a little look....lol

No real point in me taking any pics ancient, believe it or not mate, its Glasgow Scotland and usually its at least 6 feet deep in snow and blizzards etc etc at this time of year. Not a thing! Jeez its more like late Autumn here. I think the lowest the temps been is around -7c, relatively warm for this location and time of year....lol

Ones pics were pretty good I thought.........creative thinkin n all that

Everyone: I received a pm from another member requesting if I could extend the deadline. While turnout was there, it was anything but mediocre. I was wondering if people would genuinely be attempting pictures if I were to extend the contest by another month till the end of January?

Let me know what you guys think.

One: Nice pictures. How do you like your XTi? I actually just purchased a used XT about a month ago. I'm completely new in the digital photography realm, but am trying to learn more.

What were your settings when you took those shots? I for one would have liked a smaller aperture to gain more depth of field in your background. The shot w/the Jaguar ornament is brilliant. IMO, best shots thusfar.

you'll have to red the exif data on the pic for the settings, each was different.

So far I love the camera, but I'm waiting on a 50mm f1/8 EF-S lens. That's the only lens under $400 ($99) that'll shoot as tight as the ultrasonic lens. The best shots I have taken were with my Rebel 300d, so I am hoping to get the same quality of shots with my XTi once I get the glass.

EDIT: as far as extending the contest, we are already past the xmas holiday theme timeframe as it is, stick a fork in it.

Well, it seems like we have stronger interest in postponing it. So I guess we will.

New deadline: January 31st, 2008!
