04, In all honesty, I'm probably not the most qualified to ask.
Don't you know a friendly garage / bodyshop? Failing that, try pming VAbeachJAG ( damage investigator for Avis / Budget)........a new member who commented on Biggies accident.
He might know better.
One thing i will say is, I'd get all my ammunition first then go in all guns blazing to the bodyshop manager and talk about sub standard work, items missed etc etc. If they're a Jag dealer approved bodyshop, tell them you're thinkin of complaining to Jaguar. Either way, tell him you're gonna be speaking to the Insurance company and let them know you're not happy with the whole situation!
We had a similar experience when my daughter crashed her car and the bodyshop was faffing around with it. I called the Insurance company ( who put one helluva lot of work their way - so many complaints etc and they can be removed from the approved list)and complained. All of a sudden things really started to move

yeah im goin to have to take it to another shop and will be calling the insurance company too. i just took a closer look at the car and nothiced the the paint on the bumper isnt done very good, if you look closely its not smooth, it has what loos like little dots in it. bad clearcoat job. one and a half months and still a shitty job. i only took it to that shop as my insurance company recomended it, and they sed that the whole process will be a lot quicker as they have a representive that works there all the time so no need for an adjuster to come out, even though they still had to have an djuster come out.

Yes .....for gods sake do ALL that n more. DO NOT settle for anything less than perfection, cos thats what it should be like, as new, more or less, in those areas that were repaired for sure.
Don't take any crap off the insurance company either....remember, YOU are the customer, your premiums WILL increase when due for renewal AND you paid a $550? deductible into the bargain!
Kick shout n scream till you get it the way that you want it!

Yeah 04 this is the first time I've read about your car lately other than the other post...man that is bs!!! I said I'd be letting people know I was pissed but not putting antifreeze in????? Remember when I said my dad got into a car accident and they didn't replace the tranny fluid? And how my parents didn't find out until the tranny was already blown? My parents had to pay for the tranny to be fixed out of their own pockets because it wasn't their fault! You got lucky that nothing happened because you left the shop and the insurance company wouldn't car and the body shop or rather dealer didn't care either! My guess is your younger and they could care less take a pissed off uncle or dad and maybe some big guys in with you! Get that crap taken care of talk to someone higher up! No coolant is BS!!! I'm raging for you man![:@][sm=badbadbad.gif]
Paint looking like crap is shotty too! Rage man thats the only thing I can say![:'(]

i just got my oil changed as the car had been sitting for about 2 months, and what do u know, they found that my CV boot was torn on the collision side. got an estimate of $616[:@]. i was told that something must have hit it and torn it. Its a fresh cut as not much grease has leaked out. Anyone know the difficulty of replacing the CV boot? I not really all that mechanically inclined, so i mite need some guided instructions. If its too difficult, ill just have to pay 600 bux. Not taking it to the *********** though, who knows how much they wud charge.

Have you checked if they replaced it during the repair or not? Its possible they may have missed it? After all. they seemed to miss other run of the mill items![&:]
DOUBLE CHECK FIRST!

i called em and they sed they didnt replace it, but they will take a look to see if its new or from the hit. Do you know it the CV boot would be covered under warranty, or is it a wear part?

04.........ask for warranty anyway mate....the worst they can say is no!
If you don't ask chances are they're not gonna offer[&:]
Biggie's probably right too.........$600 seems excessive.
I'd shop around and get a few estimates!!!
