I hope someone can help with my problem ?
I have a 04 x type 2.0D Jag, 75kmiles
I have just fitted a new battery after my old one went flat, had it checked and the AA said that it was not excepting a charge and recommended that I buy a new one, which I did. I drove the car for about three days and it went flat again, I charged it and now it goes flat every night. I have checked that I have completely switched of all lights etc. I then had an Auto electritian check thorugh the car and he found no problems and said that it may be the new battery is faulty ??? Even tho the battery light indiator on the battery was showing green ?? I then had my mechanic put on another battery and that went flay over night, we repeated this for a couple of nights all with the same end result.

Now there are a couple of thoughts that may help with an answer but on the other had they may not be connected.

Two months ago I had a new heated windscreen fitted.
I also noticed that at about 2000rpm or fifty MPH when I have gentle pressure on the throttle the car starts to stagger, if I excellerate it goes away, if I back off it goes away. This problem was around pre the battery problems, but I did notice that when I initially installed the new battery this did go away but started to come back every day and grew more apparent. The following day flat battery!
Any suggestion would be greatly received.
