x type door lock key fob

alto, here is what I know about door lock actuators in the xtype. They go out all the time and I always have to replace them due to the always changing Colorado road conditions and my parking spots like to get my actuators nice and wet and fry my motors. Anyways, I have replaced my door lock actuators with much success and I have never had to reprogram my actuators while doing a swap. Also, I have had to reprogram my key fob which is a really easy procedure: Turn the key on (II) and back to accessory (I) three times and you should hear a ding. Then hold down any button on your fob and the car should ding again illustrating that the programming was successful. The problem that I can see you having is that you swapped out a whole door. I have tried to help another member on this board with the exact same problem that you are having (swapped doors and locks not working) and I couldn't reach a conclusion. This brings me to the conclusion that there is something within that door that will need to be reprogrammed or the system will have to relearn. Maybe try pulling your battery ground and see if the car can "relearn" that is has a new door that way (I've seen it work for other xtype parts so it's worth a shot.) If it's just the lock that broken however, you can swap out the lock actuators with no programming required. Let me know if you need anymore help.
