X-Type Estate back hatch window unlatching at will!
Greetings People, Can any one please advise the cure for a problem that me and my brother each have.
My 2litre Diesel estate and his 3litre V6 petrol estate both suffer with the opening window hatch in the rear back door just unlatching at will.
It usually happens when I start the car. It IS driving me freaking demented having to get out each time to lift and drop the back window.
Most annoying of all is the fact that I cannot normally open the back window at all, but the nasty little gremlins living in the car will open it as-and-when they want to. (if you catch my drift)!
So, is that sufficient info for someone to diagnose the fault.. Please help.
Apart from that, the car is Fabulous..
Many thanks.

On my 2004 X Type it does this if I unlock all the doors It doesnt happen if I just open the drivers door using button on keyfob
A way to check if it does this is to get in the car
Lock the doors using key fob
Then put key in ignition and start car
On mine that sorts it and I suspect a faulty connection in switch may be the reason
As you say its a windup as it seems to happen randomly
