Or you could always go buy a pair of "pant savers" I believe that is the brand name. I have had a pair that we have been using since 1991 till now. My mom used them in her 1991 toyota corolla, for over 10 years then she gave them to me and I have been using them ever since. They cost probably around $25 a mat but there universal and you can move them from car to car. They also have deep treads and a water channeling system in them so if you are in a area with snow the snow comes off your shoes and into the channels where the heat melts the snow and evaporates the water. The best part is you don't get the bottoms of your dress pants wet or filled with salt stains.
Here is a link of the exact mats I have, Original Compact Front 1 Piece Car Mat by Pants Saver - The Most Trusted Name in Car Mats!
they have other styles and models but this is what we have had since 1991. You can flip them over for spring/summer but I don't bother, I like the deep grooves to catch all the dirt and crap.
