I'm talking about you taking the key out of the ignition and the lights turn on...mine only turn on if I hit the button on the keyfob...

On the X hit the keyfob button and set the lights to light your way home or to the car etc.
On my A6........The light sensors detect its dark outside and when you remove the key from the ignition the lights automatically light your path.

Thats cool...not sure I'd ever really use that feature too much as most of the walking I have ever done is down the side of the car and than to the right or left of the car...most parking lots are set up so your car is going to face the car across the row from you and what not...good feature non the less...I like the new features on the new volvos though...always good to know that you couldn't tell your window was bashed in when someone broke into it...I'd definitely need the keyfob to tell me theres someone inside!
