Today's Economics
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49 today.
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33 today.
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 today.
But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you would have received $214!
Based on the above, the best current investment play is to drink heavily and recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.
A recent study found that the average American male walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. This means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be an American!

Going off the above I think I only get 20 MPG

i have been working since I was 10 (I am 27 now)... I lied on my work papers when I was 12 to get a "paycheck" job. I have been paying taxes since I was 12 years old, I saved as much as I could and put it in the stock market for when I retire. In the last year or two I have lost over half of everything I saved. I can't take the money out now and just settle for the huge loss i would take. I have decided to leave it in the market and make my money back or loose it all. This is very depressing and sad that so much money can be lost in such a short amount of time. some times I think I should have just spent the money I invested and it least i would have enjoyed it. so much for trying to be responsible.

Hey guys I'm officially back. Uverse finally hooked up service after about 12 hours of my wife being on hold and nearly a month. Original install date was the second but before that we waited over 2 weeks for the first open tech to hook up service. In total we've seen 3 different techs and the one today said it couldn't be hooked up, a phone call of our own finally proved to be the magic phone call (oh and another hour of my wife being on hold making the total over 13 hours!.)
I'll be here regularly from here on out...anyways I'm gonna get catching up on things like the return of racer!![Wink](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)

change the diaper vs. post on the forum....feed the screaming baby vs. catch up on the forum....crayons being used to "paint" the wall vs. posting on the forum...LOL
