Aquill- Congrats man! Good to hear things going your way, as I recall you were trying to get into the academy for a while.

Yeah, got a black one down here in Lubbock. These things are a diamond in the rough, and for the resale value, it's a damn steal.

Jim- Yeah, the Ford Contour/Mystique/Cougar all share the same platform as the Mondy. We always get some of your fellow neighbors showing pictures of their ST220's from time to time.
Why Ford America never brought the Mondy over here beats me, but you just can't get more drool-worth than one of these babies.

Thanks mates!

I've been in the process since July but it's a giant process. I've always wanted to do this so I'm surely glad it's going to get started here really soon.

Hey cadi the car he linked a pic above is for a euro mondeo iirc. The car he got was the silver svt contour. Nice cars though for the money.

Ancient-Isn't it retarded that we don't integrate the european styling into cars here? It's just now starting to catch on (GM importing aussie cars.)

What I want to know is why hasn't ford tried tapping into the hip market like the scion and other brands??? The newer focus is nice (2011 or whenever) but that seems to be the only car. I love the ford flex but the thing is all that efficient.

I was looking at the svt focus for a while, when I thought about it though I'd rather spend the same or a little more on a 96-98/99/01 cobra. Now I'm at the point where I want a termi but I gotta talk the wifey into that one. I test drove a xb last night that was pretty neat but I gotta talk the wife into driving that so I can get the cobra.

Ancient...lovin the car
I had the St in black, beautiful machine. I'm wonderin though what year? Possibly 55 plate, maybe 3-4 years old?? I noticed the front fog inserts don't have the chrome strip you can get....quite a nice touch too
I'd like to see the rear too to see what light cluster you have as there is an updated and classier looking type.....There are also chrome strips for the doors instead of the black rubber
Lookin good lowered.....mean machine
Please post a pic so I can check it out.
If you need any help with parts etc I may be able to assist.....let me know

Hey Aquill,
its the older model, now around 5 years old and has covered approx 29k miles ( not 24k as I posted earlier by mistake )......for a diesel its barely run in yet
Fairly well specc'd to with full leather, heated seats and rear park sensors and more...
So you got the call Aquill...are you in now bud?
Drop me a pm and bring me up to date when you can......all the best

Jim's been smoking the pipe lately, I see.

Jim, I'm over here in the States. The car I'm looking to pick up was that silver Contour SVT. It's pushing 10 years of age!

In regards to the Mondy, it was of a "bloke" that posted pictures at the Contour forum. IIRC, he is from Scotland. As you may know Ford brought over the Mondy to the States and called it the Ford Contour.

Anyways, that blue Mondy sure is a beautiful machine.

Not to be a ***** but man that looks insanely better than the contours here in the states. Those rims are HAAWWWWWTT!

I don't care for the tail pipes but overall that car is awesome.

Do they really wonder why they are doing so bad in selling cars here in the states? Ford should have implanted the mondeo here in America from 2007 back in 2007, they are so retarded. Everything they do is too little too late, and it goes for all of them not just ford.

That loooks like the ST220....Mine was in black and the ST Tdci the diesel variant, but still a great lookin car.
Sorry Aquill about talkin about cars you can't own....but you'd love that car trust me...maybe you could import one?
