Yeah, probably right thomasx, but don't sweat it....The original post was to stimulate topics / posts / post count etc as the forum was quieter then with much fewer members.....Things have moved on quite a bit since then

The "new" technologies however I don't find that much impressive. It's just old technology applied to TV's. LED TV's is only the backlighting that's LED. OLED displays will hopefully make huge difference though, especially the paper thin rollable ones.

I recall watching 3D tv at home in the sofa some 30 years or so ago. Todays technology is basically the same, whether it uses red/green, on/off shutters or polarizing to separate the eyes. I'll be more impressed when the "TV" creates a true 3D image, or visual "object" in free space, so you can walk around and have a look at it.

Just found this thread while looking for a post about how to fit a double din stereo to the car. 2hrs later & two cups of coffee I realised just how life passes you by! I skimmed through percentages to the Olympics, someone breaking their ribs & at one point it got real interesting when the mighty GERS were mentioned (fizzled out to nothing though just like the European cup L). What other gems will I find on this Forum
Oh well back to looking for the Double Din Install LoL
