X type - Off topic section

Just found out that you can rest an ipad in the apple case perfectly on the x type's center console. The angle is perfect and the ipad just covers the CD and Audio controls section! The Sport mode button near is shift knob acts as a stopper and prevents the ipad from slipping.
The placement is surprisingly stable with almost no movement even in the pretty rough roads we have currently in the DC area (massive re-construction projects under way).
iPad offers:
1. HD GPS Navigation
2. Video, audio (including services like Pandora, Live TV, XM etc) when connected to the ACM.
3. Ability to move ipad around to back seat and use as a video device since the ACM is under the center console
4. You can charge the ipad from the power socket which is directly behind the ipad so it looks pretty neat.
My interior is mocha/champagne and the ipad case is black so you can see the case in the console. On a friends X type with black interior it actually look like a built in unit!
So for all of you with iPads and x types...there's another use of the iPad. Looks like the center console design of the x type was done keeping something like this in mind

So i am building a set of self leveling center caps, but I can't find anyone to make the actual logo stickers or elements to go on the caps. I have an idea of what I want (Pictured) but I need the silver elements to look like actual aluminum. Any ideas of how to go about this? I also wanted to do left and right side so they always face forward.

Wouldn't you have a licensing issue using official logo's or have you already reached an agreement with Jaguar? They look nice, good luck with the project.

I have been on many forums, the Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi and I have to admit the X type is the smallest I've been on. I think part of the problem is there aren't that many X types out there, at least not here in New England. Since I bought my 03 back in June I have seen 3 X types and 1 S type. When I owned my Benz I'd see plenty of them almost everyday, ditto on the BMW and Audi. Jaguar's always had a bad rap for being an unreliable car, funky electrics, engine problems so IMHO Jaguar is finally producing a fine cars and it is going to take time before they take off. The other thing is the X type had a short model run 02 to 08 that is not much time for a model, especially a Euro car. The benz I had started production in 94 and is still being produced today, same for the BMW and Audi and the Porsche I had. Long production more questions.

Perhaps not I was thinking someone might already have a leaper style wheel badge out there vs the growler but am having no luck. I have my existing growler badges I could use but I wanted leapers as I think they look better. All else fails I could contact jag about personal use and see what they would charge me to use their emblem.

[quote=cadillac;244771]Champions League campaign begun yesterday and Ranger did a good job by holding United at Old Trafford
I'm just happy Rangers did not meet Arsenal last night Cadillac, I dont think anybody would of kept them out on that form.![Icon No](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_no.gif)

Hi, Adam! You might not have many X Types in New England but there are plenty in Virginia Beach. They're all over the place here. I love mine. I get a car and keep it till the wheels fall off. I kept my Chrysler mini van till nothing worked but the radio when I finally junked her at about 200k miles. I want my Jag to last and last and maybe buy another model Jag later, too. I just can't get over how complicated they are though.
