Jim,
One thing that is still bothering me is the whirling tire noise. The dealer said it was the front right tire that was generating the noise when i took the car in couple of weeks ago. So they balanced and moved it to the rear. Now,the noise is not as bad, but it seems like it is coming from the front right side. Not only that, when i turn right, i hear this other loud noise. Don't know what it is. Any ideas.

Actually, at higher speeds the whirling noise is not as bad. At lower speeds it is more noticeable.Previously the whirling noise was annoying because it was really loud. Now, it is not as bad after the service. However, the jag developed this other noise when i turn right, coming from the right front tire. It is very noticeable when turning to the right, but it is intermittent.

You'd seriously think that there would be limited areas to look out for.
Wheel bearing
Noisy type of tyres I guess
brakes maybe?
Power steering?
Other than those possibilities I really cant think............although?
I'm sure that this is not your problem, but, when I got my Alloys refinished and was driving later that day, there was a terrible clunking noise comming from the car........not happy, I decided to check.
The wheel bolts were loose, well, 3 out of the 5 were anyways[&:].......scary ****.
However, the wheel refinisher clearly stated that all bolts should be checked after 10 -15 miles......lol
Lucky escape!!!

Jim,
Here is the story. I got a call from someone regarding the service i got from Jaguar. They asked me if i was satisfied. I said not really. Within couple of days the hot italian service advisor called me back and asked if there were problems. She said that she was sorry and whatcan shedo to get everything rectified. She even said, bring the car back and i will get you aloaner. Additionally, she said she will make sure everything will get fixed this time, no questions asked. I said okay. So that is where we stand right now.

Yes. She is trying to please. I would love her to please me in other ways too....I was actually surprised that i got the call and she handled it very nicely. You don't get good customer service nowadays. I was impressed. Hopefully, everything will be fixed this time. My only concern is getting rid of that tire noise, I will let you know the outcome.
How is it going with you?
