Definitely R in the current Jag lineup. The new C-XF would be the ultimate for me, but with the release of that, I'm expecting the current supply of S-Type Rs to become readily available and competitively priced. I'm looking at that for my entry to the Jaguar world.

Yeah if your looking to go fast go with the r but if you would like a good AWD (All Weather DRIVER) I'd go X. I never realized the price that you could get an s-type r until I looked them up...I've found many on ebay going for 22-24k all with navi and remainder of warranty either to the 50k miles or some with 100k mile warranty! The X is nice here in michigan for winter driving I'll be getting an R once my other car (ford escape) is paid off! That way I'll probably be 24-25 years old and be able to pay nothing to drive the R insurance wise I don't pay much to drive my x but I'd imagine has a lot to do with all the airbags, awd, abs and dsc!

BTW how come you are getting rid of the volvo or aren't you? You like that car or not? I like the 60R but the prices on those cars are the same as the s-type R!!!

Oh for sure! I look at it this way...how many cadillac's do you see? To me a cadillac can be seen everywhere...doesn't matter how good or bad of an area...my jag on the other hand you don't see anywhere and EVERYONE male or female know what they are! Mercedes don't rank very well with me after seeing what they did with chrysler! Not to mention the reliability is worse on them than jag! Plus the cost of the mercedes make it not worth it...although when you buy one your resale value is higher for both cars over the jag...that could be a good thing or a bad thing...to me you can pay less for the s-type r and get an awesome car and everyone thinks its super expensive but they don't know you can find some for less than 20k dollars or up to 30k...you pay more than 30k and its going to be really new and more than likely a 05 and newer which is sick when the car costs 62k+ when bought new and it is covered til 50k miles!

One night, a police officer was staking out a particular rowdy bar for possible violations of the driving-under-the-influence laws. At closing time, he saw a fellow stumble out of the bar, trip on the curb, and try his keys on five different cars before he found his. Then he sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes. Meanwhile, everyone left the bar and drove off.
Finally, he was able to start his engine and began to pull away. The police officer was waiting for him. He stopped the driver, read him his rights and administered the Breathalyser test. The results showed a reading of 0.0 The puzzled officer demanded: "how can this be?"
The driver replied: "Because tonight, officer, I'm the designated decoy!"

Any of you guys thought about adding a few items to your vehicle like for example.
Aluminium tax disc holder c/w Jaguar logo
Jaguar valve caps c/w Jaguar logo on the head
Just a thought. Not sure how many of you have these / or know of them / or were interested?
The tax disc holders give a nice clean classy look for around £12 and the dust caps can be had for around the £5 mark there or thereabouts off Ebay!
