I got the la-z-boy! Next 5 months...shoot...more like from now til may as last year we did see a freakish little bit of snow in may!

Now what I have to ask is...is...WISCONSIN???? WTF??? We just got back from Madison where my wife's brother works for a company called epic which make computer software for hospitals...anyways I can say that I would NEVER live there...the weather is the same if not worse and it is soo weird over there. Its soo boring and your either in like city or farm land....I have no problems with either but I don't like the feeling I get the 2 times I've been there...and it has nothing to do with new/different places I just don't like it there!

All right! I'll be the BBQ ready. Seriously, if any of you guys ever come round this way, let me know. Or if you guys want to take ya'll kids to Disney or Universal, I can get you the FL Residents' discount. Like $15 cheaper per ticket. I'd be glad to show you guys how fun South Beach can be, and I can get you the best hotels at the best prices. I know the ins and outs of the city, and what better than to have a Jag to drive around?

I've never been to WI, but it looks beautiful in the country. I imagine the MI UP is the same. Am I way off base there?

You're a stand up guy, Biggie!

Its the part that is north of the hand!?? Do you get that? No not really I think Michigan is much better looking...although I only get to see the southwest corner up to the more north western part (madison)...I personally think its boring and ugly much like you feel about that one part of Texas...or was that kansas!
Michigan I think is nicer and I hate Michigan...I want to move but I think its mostly how depressing it is here more than me actually hating it...although I do hate winters....and are spurratic weather...right now though I notice more of the depression involved with the economy and what not more so than are crazy weather...I couldn't have a Christmas without snow though!

I figure if anyone every found the perfect spot we would all move there. Everywhere has plus and minuses. California has good weather and fires and earthquakes. In MI you have the hard winters but more than one season. Biggie and have a beach but that comes with hurricanes and humidty. Jim up there in the UK has no dental. (JK, Jim-bo!)

Lol........yeah Ken..........no dentals right.
Like everywhere else though I guess we got our good points n bad points too.
There's some stunning scenery and loads of history too. Glaswegians would give you the shirt off their back and are down to earth and generally a friendly bunch. It tends to be much more cultural in the East nearer Edinburgh.
Plenty to see n do for such a small country really I guess.
It does tend to rain a lot though[&:]although much less these days it seems thanks to global warming
Any of you guys make it over, please let me know and I'll be only too glad to show you the highlights
New years or id summer would be best....lol
If its New Years dont forget a wee bit of shortbread, a lump of coal and a half bottle of whisky " Lang may yer lum reek!"

I always thought Louisiana was nice, but they get massive floods. Doesn't matter WHERE you go....it all sucks. I've always said it like this:

The West and California gets earthquakes and fires
The South and Louisiana gets floods and hot temperatures
The Mid-West gets tornados
The North gets Massive winter storms, snow, and rusty car
The East gets hurricanes and super humid climates
Last but not least, the worst is the New York area. They get the cold, snow and rusty cars, they get the horrible traffic as well, but worst of all they get the terrorist attacks too. Dispite it all, New Yorkers are some of the nicest people...once you get to know them. LOL
