Default X-Type oil pan help...

Trying to replace oil pan gasket on 05 x type.. got the bottom part of the oil plan detached from the upper part... I can not removal the bottom pan from the car... it seems to be wedged in by the car frame on one end and the transmission on the other end... what can i do???

Using a jack under the gearbox, the engine mounts have enough 'give' to let you lift the engine just enough to get that extra bit of clearance. Some have also removed the oil pump pick up pipe, but it's not necessary and a bit of a fiddle when re-assembling.

Did just what you said... the pan fell out of the car...THANKS!!!
