X-type radiator fans. Which way do they blow
I ordered a new radiator fan but the clips were broken so instead of installing it, he took the apart the fans and put them in the old unit.
Do they both blow the same way and if so, into the engine or out of the engine. Mine are blowing 2 different ways. While facing the front of the car, the left one blows into the engine and the right one blows out of the engine.
Is this correct??

millman, the fans should pull the air from the front bumper, through the radiator, through the fans and then blow the hot air on to the engine.
Another way to think of it, if the fans were pulling air from the engine bay and trying to blow it out the front of the car, when you are driving down the highway, if the fans kicked on, they would be pushing against the air that would be naturally going through the radiator and actually reduce the amount of airflow going through the radiator. I am sure you can see where that would be bad.
