Try taking the radio out and checking the antenna connections. It comes out easily. Jaguar uses the new modern connectors and they have a small plastic clip to secure them. Maybe yours is loose or broken? You may have some dirt in the connection which is shorting something out? Also check the connection in the back to the heating elements.
I doubt if you have a suppression issue. But stranger things have happened.

will check the connections. The guy that put the radio in was a moron so it is possible hes caused some damage. I will check the connectors at the back of the radio. I will also check the antenna at the rear I take it is in the boot somewhere?.
