Default X Type - two components not ready - need to get state inspected a.s.a.p

1) comprehensive component monitor transmission drive cycle waiver

2) evaporative system monitor drive cycle

Im in desperation mode i can loose my car & the car is in perfect condition - no codes drives like a champ - I replaced the battery 7 months ago - ever since then ive been receiving a P1000 code which means system still cycling - I took it to a dealership (Ray Catena Imports - NJ Jaguar) they ran test found that theses two components aren't ready - they said keep driven it / that was 6 months ago - gave me instructions to manually reset for both codes - I also found these instruction here in this site also -*

http://www.bluejag.co.uk/comprehensi...nt-monitor.php

http://www.2carpros.com/questions/ja...003-x-type-obd

but its not working - i must of did these step 50 times Lokks like you have to have a lift or have this done in a professional place -Im in desperation mode - I cant loose my car- its over due for a state inspection please if any one can help or knows a place that can help - let me know soon -

Juan, odds are, what you are experiencing is that you have blown a fuse inside the fuse box to maintain the memory for the ECU. So, what happens is if you drive the car, it will reach a P1111 status (all systems fine, no problems), but as soon as you turn the car off, it looses its memory and drops back to the P1000 status (all systems not checked, duh, it hasn't checked anything because the motor has not run since it lost power).

You don't state what year vehicle you have, so, I can not really assist with checking specific fuses. If you can, state the year of your vehicle (if a 2004, also include the month it was made as there was a revision done to the car in early 2004, see the sticker in the drivers door for the month).

Update- on the issue on the*comprehensive component monitor transmission drive cycle &*evaporative system monitor drive cycle - I did some research (old school research ) I decided to call my the state of NJ of motor vehicle*commission - I told them my issue & to my surprise they told me 1st off the state lets only one of your component to not be ready - (I already knew that - but what they told me next blew my mind - The*comprehensive component monitor transmission drive cycle has a waiver on it- ((((((you got to be kiddin me )))))) anyway *which means the computer will automatically bypass it - yes all this time I was trying to get rid of one of these----the reason for the wavier on the*comprehensive component monitor transmission drive cycle is because Ford installed a leak censer in the X type that goes bad & takes for ever to reset so they did a state mandatory recall *- after hundreds of complaints & investigation - they put a waiver on it - this information is only found by the state- thats why not many people know about this - I just got sick & tired of running up & down trying to finish the cycle that i just got a idea to just call the state - So I took my car to inspection & yes I passed - so if your dealing with a*comprehensive component monitor transmission drive cycle not complete don't worry about it - hope this helps someone - also just want to thank everyone tjat helped me out & gave me advice -*

Wow, Thank you ever so much!

You just solved a more-or-less the same problem with my Dodge 5.9 Liter Quad Cab 4x4. I thought I'd have to start swapping parts out, and it is even harder to work on than the Jag!

Your fix makes perfect sense, so I know I would have never thought of it.

Removing PCM power will unset all the monitors.

Shame this board doesn't allow you to post pdf's or I could load extract from Electrics Manual for X Type which details fuse circuits.

It does allow PDFs. I've posted them often. Regardless, they're in the free download workshop manual and also on JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

The 'insert image' icon only allows adding image format files.
Lower down in the reply screen in the 'additional options' area is the 'manage attachments' button which allows additional file formats.
