Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know if Jaguar produced a VDP X-Type? I found a few old articles about the X-Type VDP, describing it (a 2005) as:
"The VDP edition defines a package of options that includes seventeen-inch wheels with all-season tires, a 320-watt Alpine audio entertainment system, ten-way adjustable power seats with classic-style leather upholstery, walnut burl interior trim, and a number of other minor features."
My research from a 2005 (UK) sales brochure is that X-Types came in three trims; Sport Premium, SE, and Sovereign. Did Jaguar North America (factually) offer a VDP edition of the X-Type. or is it fake-news/erroneous writing?
I found this pic of a "VDP" badged X-Type, though we all know that you can buy the letters V-D-P on ebay for about 50-cents apiece.

And for the Canadian market there was a VDP model for one year only; thereafter this same model (with burl walnut and contrasting piping) was called (and badged) the "Luxury Edition". Canadian and US models were differently equipped with the Canadian cars having a "cold weather" package generally meaning heated front and rear screens, heated mirrors, etc.
