Aircon
Hi
I need help.
I have a Jaguar XE 2016
My air con is lovely and cold. When it works. !!!
when I start my car and have the air con in its lovely and cold at 9 degrees C.
after 10 mins of driving it stops working.
I pull over and stop for a min and stop the engine.
Start the engine and it’s fine again for a while.
What I have noticed is when the aircon stops working the start stop stops working also.
Any suggestions.

Welcome to the forums Wathman105,
The AC is a sealed closed-loop system but will lose around 5% refrigerant charge per year. Seal failure would cause rapid loss of refrigerant and, as it does work, this is clearly not the case. Component fault (compressor, control valve or sensor) is possible but I would have it checked first by an AC specialist.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

What is your battery like? I know from experience in other cars that when the battery charge is low, the car will start shutting down no-essential systems, which would include the AC and the Stop-Start.
Our Stop-Start system had disappeared, then returned when we replaced the battery. I would at least have the battery load tested, this would be a relatively simple test, and perhaps fix.
