Default Anyone put a Leaper on their XE?

Seems like a silly question but apparently the old Leaper hood ornament is still a dealer-installable option. I was talking with a neighbor who has an XF and he pointed out that a Jag isn't a proper Jag without a leaper, and that he had the dealer install one on his car. I have to admit, I liked the way it looked on his car! Anyone do this to their XE?

I don't think it would look good on it, but each to their own.

For me the leaper is for older Jaguar models with plenty of bright work. I had it on my '04 VDP and liked it, but couldn't imagine putting it on my XK or XE...

Saw a black f pace with a leaper today. Did not like the look of it.
i used to have an x type with a leaper and it suited the style, i couldn't imagine the x type without one, however I wouldn't dream of putting one on my XE

When the xf launched years ago and had one I thought it looked really out of place.

Its been discussed on the XF sub forum and the consensus seems to be no, it doesn't look right with the modern styling. And if you decide you don't like it later, then you've got a hole in an aluminum hood that would be very expensive to repair and paint. But aesthetics are subjective. Too bad you can't stick one on with a suction cup for a week and see how you like it.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

Did you install one on yours and can you update with pics and placement?I just purchased a 2017 XE Prestige 20D in Odyssey Red and my wife says she misses the leaper on the hood. On our other Jags, she just looks for it on the hood to find the car in the "car park". I just ordered a kit for the XF and hope it fits as my local Jag dealer couldn't find one for the XE. Personally, I think the car would look good with the leaper on the hood. Guess I will find out.
