Dealer launch

I popped in to my local Jaguar dealer yesterday, and found out they were launching the XE on 26th February. So the actual car will be available to see, and hopefully drive.
I also got the brochure too. I was told the petrol engine will be available immediately alongside the diesel. The silly thing for a UK buyer is that there are two 4-cyl petrols, one with 200PS the other with 240PS, yet both have the same CO2 figure of 179 g/km thus giving the same VED (road tax) of £225 per year. The 3 litre supercharged V6 is higher, (obviously), at 194 g/km giving £265, only another £45. I know what one I'd like.
Diesels obviously run for ever on a thimbleful of diesel, with the manual box lower-powered engine on 99g/km giving a VED of nil, yes really !! I never thought I'd ever see a Jaguar with a VED less than my daughter's Fiat 500 1.2 litre
