Default Discontinued?

I thought Jaguar discontinued the XE in 2020? why are people posting reviews of an XE 2022 on YouTube and the web? Anyone else more knowledgeable on this, I went to jaguars website and saw nothing to do with customizing your own XE so how tf?

I didn't follow this story much further after I heard the initial news . What I read in 2019 was that the US market was going to lose the XE, and that further years/versions would
continue in Europe/Asia Markets only. So Yanks (...and transplanted Tommy's like me) won't have a steering-on-left XE available for sale in our country anymore.
Seems to be right.

If you tap Jaguar UK, the styling's not to my taste, but it's a 21/22 design.

Hmm..yes the XE is still theoretically available in the UK.
However, dealers have no new stock at all and, if you try to order one, you're told that the wait time will likely be 12 months and it may be even longer than that! In addition, people who have ordered over the last year or so have had their orders cancelled after waiting for a number of months, or the XE has eventually been delivered but without some of the options that were originally selected.
So, to all intents and purposes, the XE has been cancelled in the UK as well. Under the 2 year tenure of their just departed CEO, Thiery Bollore, Jaguar seems to have given up on producing ICE cars and has been concentrating on EVs, though Bollore's decision to cancel the electric XJ which was almost ready to go into production, was mystifying.
Let's hope that better things will happen under their new CEO Adrian Mardell.

I recently read in MT that Jaguar has over 200,000 vehicles pre-ordered, but are still hamstrung by parts supply issues. Demand is not an issue. But there's no telling how many orders will be canceled due to impatience.

I do think most people's patience would be tested by a 12 month or more wait, especially since there is always the possibility that JLR will just cancel your order several months in, or deliver it without some of your ordered options on a "take it or leave it" basis.
I know parts supply (especially computer chips) is an issue, but other car manufacturers seem to have been coping with this far better than JLR.
