Although Jaguar continue to call this the ECM (Engine Control Module) in the Parts Catalogue, they use the term PCM (Powertrain Control Module) in the Workshop Manual.
The PCM is located at the rear of the engine compartment, between the bulkhead panel and the secondary bulkhead panel on the opposite side to the hand of drive. The PCM is secured to a mounting bracket with four screws. The bracket is attached to the bulkhead panel. See item 8:

It’s is a little more than curiosity. We have a local shop that has done some dyno tuning for some F Paces and F Types. I contacted them and they asked what code is on my PCM is. Apparently XE’s 3.0’s have two different computers depending on year/options.
When you look at the label almost all information is the same except:
1- CPLA-12B684-YF
2- CPLA-12B684-YE
there are some other differences but supposedly not significant. I have no idea what the differences are they just told me they have only worked with the YE as it is the same in the F Pace and F Type.
The random curiousity would be does does anyone know if there is a difference? I have the YE is why it’s more random curiosity than anything
Is the YE for R-sport and S and the YF is for all other 3.0s? Maybe something with dynamic configurations??
I recently learned from Stuart at velocity that an Ecu with the last two letters “FR” will not accommodate many current tuner interfaces. This is why your shop does not tackle the Ecu -pcm outside of the ones you mention. The FR are tunesble but with a different interface. I just ran into this as VAP tuned my ftype and xf via their hand held power mate tuner they sell. Because my 2018 xe has the FR pcm, the tuning becomes a bit more cumbersome as you have to borrow their tuner slave which they ship to you and you mail back.
According to JEPC (Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue) there are 5 used on the 3.0 litre according to VIN range.
Even by Jaguar standards, that is an unusually high number of part changes over three years.

What gets even more interesting is when you talk to JLR they indicate that the C2D30319 has been superseded by the C2D54092.
What they didn't know or maybe would not share is how to identify a unit from the outside to the part number. They said nothing on the tag or exterior marking would show if it was a C2D30319 or C2D54092 but according to them they are all interchangeable between all year. That last part gave a little pause. If that was true why wouldn't they supersede the other 4 part numbers then? They also explained that you could swap over from a F-Pace but not F-Type 3.0L.
Taking a wild stab here but might be the part number on the ECU only reflects the configuration of the hardware whereas the CDxxxxxxx number reflects both hardware config and the version of the firmware/software pre-loaded? If this is the case quite possible the hardware remains interchangeable as only the firmware/software has changed.
