Default Gas Pedal Placement

Pedal is too far from side of console and have to lift foot to press.

any ideas on a horizontal extension or padding the console area so foot can access pedal while leaning on console?

Not entirely sure what you're asking. Can you post a photo, maybe with some mark-up?

His complaint is that the gap between the pedal and center console is too much. He wants to pivot his foot to use gas vs picking it up. Sounds like he uses cruise control alot if this is needed.

My problem is that due to bad back my right foot flares out and doesn’t rest on gas pedal when leaning on console. Never had issue in any car before.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I can certainly relate with back stuff.

I personally don't have any issue with the pedal config on this car...thought the f-type pedals were too close together. But you can buy metal pedal covers that just bolt over the existing pads. I'm sure you could get something that's larger (doesn't have to be made for this car) or even use the one intended for the brake pedal and maybe that'll make the surface area larger and therefore closer to the console?

Just ensure that the fitment is snug and proper. You wouldn't want anything on your pedals to shift while you're driving.

Not advocating for this product specifically, but
something along these lines something along these lines
.
