Glovebox Removal

Turns out you dont need to remove the glove box after all. If anyone faces this again. All you gotta do is remove the cover right under the unit with the power button. Once that's done, you will feel the back of the unit from there. It is only held in by clips so you can just pull it out. The clips are quite strong so you gotta use a but of force.

Glove box undercover
By the way I am interested in that blue piece. Could some one tell me de name of this piece or the reference number?
Thanks a lot.

That is a great idea. It would be a shame to remove the glove box and not change the cabin filter since it is staring you right in the eye. Indeed, the XE cabin filter is right there behind the glove box.
As an aside, the dealer wanted ~ $300.00 to change mine but with the help of the forum and a you tube video, it was a breeze. The only ironic thing is that when I went to remove that first plastic cover, "blue piece" posted by Radium, I realized that mine was not even there. It must have been busted off and discarded by the last genius that couldn't figure out how to remove it.
If someone does have the part number, I would replace men as well...
