Default I wish there was a dedicated launch mode..

They seem to be found in most German cars. Even my GTI had one and the Camparo I just rented had a launch feature as well.

What are the best tips for launching my XE? Paddles or sport auto?

Sport auto, Dynamic mode, TracDSC or if you feel confident, TC off. Apply brake with left foot, and when you want to launch, ease off the brake while rolling into the throttle. Don't mash it straight away or you'll just spin the tires...

Thanks man!

Can you spin the tires with the AWD or are you referring to the RWD model?
(I guess I can find out)

Mine (35T AWD) won't spin the tires in Dynamic Sport with TC off.

Mine is RWD. Probably less of an issue on the AWD model. Good luck... let us know what your testing reveals.

Yep. Press the Traction control button once, for about a second. Don't hold it down or it'll turn TC off completely.

TracDSC allows more wheel slip than when traction control is fully on, but will still save your *** if you forget to catch a slide.

just wondering why do this instead of just in normal mode ?

In normal mode it'll cut power well before wheel slip happens. I'd bet this slows the launch.
