Hello guys, I have a project, but I need your help.
I tried using "Android Auto" in my Jag XE, but it is not compatible. My car is not equipped with "InControl Apps" ... but I would have, too, Android in my car.
technically there are two possibilities:
1) Mirroring display -> dubbing the smartphone's display on the car. In this case it interacts only by smartphone
2) Install an Android Box -> in this case using the car's display as "TV-out" of an Android box.
You have no idea of how to do?

If you do not have "InControl Apps" then the only option is to install an aftermarket system. There are Android units or you can use of of the Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. units that support Android Auto and CarPlay. SOme even support mirroring.
I recently installed a Kenwood DDX9702S in our CR-V that supports all 3.
But, I'm not sure how that would look or ever work in the XE. I think many of the car functions (HVAC, seat heat, etc.) are handled by the touchscreen.

I want to use a solution "after market", but without giving up the touchscreen of the XE. That is why I spoke of the display mirroring ...
