Jaguar XE Pricing
#21
I've had 3 different dealerships in the Midwest waste my time telling me they'll work out a deal price for me...to come back with MSRP a day or so later.
What I'm looking for..
2018 - 2L Turbo XE AWD with Premium trim. Blue or Red colors.
Cold weather, Vision, Nav, SiriusXM.
It's like a $46,500 build on JaguarUSA.

guppydriver,
And overall, I wanted to avoid the 2017 2L turbo since it was an Ford engine that was being discontinued anyway.
The 2017's are scarce in what I wanted, even back in April.
Since the 2L turbo wasn't available with AWD. I couldn't find any 35's configured with the packages I wanted, and near me.

This is where I bought mine. They do have a 25t 2018 blue and red on the lot. Maybe they can work a bit of a discount, but I would not expect much since the 2018's are just about coming out. I got 10% off of my Red-Sport, but that was in April.
I dealt with Gwen in internet sales.
Good luck.

2017 XE Prestige 35T AWD
Just inked a deal yesterday. 2017 XE Prestige 35T AWD with Vision, Tech, Comfort, Heated windshield (I don't know why this is not part of the comfort pack), Sirius, Ultimate black. Total MSRP is $58,043. My price is $47,000.
Originally went into the dealer looking at an XF 20D that was marked down from $57,000 to $42,000 because it was a service loaner that had 20 miles on it. Did not like the lack of equipment (no vision or sirius) on the XF and began looking at XE's. Negotiated from there.
In the meantime, I had another dealer offer me a XE 20d R-sport for $47,900 where the original MSRP was $54,700. Passed because I could not stand the acceleration lag on the diesel.
The dealers here (Philly burbs) seem willing to deal on the 2017's, but not so much on the 2018's. They would only offer me $2,000 on 2018's.

Daaaayyymmnn.
Way to go. Over 11K off sticker for a loaded monster of a car. Congrats!!!
I wish I had the better stereo of the tech package, but I had to my BRG which didn't have it.

Just wanted to provide an update. I emailed 8 dealers in my area and received quotes on the 2018 XE S from no discount off of MSRP to $2500 at the high end. I went today to the dealer that offered the $2500 off and inked the deal. In addition to the MSRP reduction, they covered 3 of my remaining lease payments. Overall, I'm very happy with the deal. Oh, and the car....I absolutely love the car. It's Corris gray with ebony interior, comfort and convenience, tech package, 19" wheels, and the heated windshield. I've only put about 40 miles on it so far and much of that was in traffic. I can't wait to open it up a bit on the highway. Thanks for all of the advice.

Congrats to all here with some great feedback on pricing. $11k off MSRP is a steal so you made one heck of a deal.
I personally love the tech package although it is buggy and needs work, but I am glad they (Jaguar) continue to update it. The sound system with the tech package is really awesome, you just have to have the right input to hear the true potential of this system. You will know it when you have it.
I am in the Midwest and opted out of the cold weather packages. I have a short commute and my car is in a heated garage, so I cannot attest to the convenience of these options. My co-workers have similar setups on their cars and for those bad days I can tell you it is a nice option to have given their circumstances.
On another note I considered a 20D coming off another diesel car, but I sacrificed the fuel economy for the 380HP V6. Not disappointed at all, although I would consider a 20d for a car I drove longer distances and more often.

Discounts on-line
Not sure if we are allowed to post links to dealer websites in teh forum, but I have only found one Jaguar dealer that will post discounts on0line (Chantilly, VA). Too far for me in teh philly area, but some of you might be close enough to take advantage.
BTW - they have are showing discounts of $15k on 2017 F-types to $11K on XE's.

New 2018 Jaguar XE 25t R-Sport AWD 25t R-Sport 4dr Sedan in Wayne #JJ7594 | Jaguar Main Line
New 2018 Jaguar XE 35t Portfolio Limited Edition AWD 35t Portfolio Limited Edition 4dr Sedan in Wayne #JJ7554 | Jaguar Main Line
Yes, it is true, you can get a 2018 25t R Sport or a 2018 35t Portfolio for almost the same total cost. The 33 month cost on the 25t R sport is $21,362 and the 35t Portfolio is only a little more at $25,000 compared to the $23,907 you have been offered for the Prestige (20d, 25t, 30/35t?) Both of the above have a higher initial amount due at signing ($6,248 and $6355 respectively), but you get a lot more car for around the same amount of money.
I would bargain more with whoever made you the offer.
Good Luck!

If I were to put $5,000 down, the dealer says the monthly payment is $481.
Also, isn't the monthly lease payment just a function of the negotiated purchase price (i.e., it's fixed (not negotiable) based upon the purchase price).
Maybe I'm just looking at this all wrong too...
