Default The long wait is over, Picked up my XE R - sport, 35t, Dark Sapphire

After ordering the XE in November, my long wait is finally over. Picked up the Blue Beauty on Fri, and have been loving every minute of it since. The Dark Sapphire color is even more amazing in person, pictures don't do it justice. I'm not the type of owner that takes it ridiculously easy on a new car in the "break-in period", but I'm trying to control myself a little bit. Once I get more miles in, all bets are off. The car handles like it's on rails, firm ride but not punishing. Great acceleration, especially in dynamic and sport modes, with a great sound from the engine and exhaust. Again, haven't completely thrashed it, but eventually I'll take it to the track for quarter mile runs, and scca events. More impressions to come.

Congrats!!! Beautiful car. I just ordered my R-sport Friday, so my wait begins as well. Mind if I ask about options? Adaptive dynamics? Tech package and if so, how is the upgraded Meridian system? Enjoy your new baby!!!

Congratulations QwikCat. Your car is beautiful. Love the blue. I picked up my car yesterday in ultimate black. If I had a chance I would have certainly considered the blue. I am very impressed by driving experience, design and the many car functions.

Beautiful car...except the rims, not a fan of black rims.

Got the windows tinted. Very happy with my choice of black rims, makes the car look even more BAD A$$.

Looks great. Got gloss black rims on the F type which look brilliant. As long as there is plenty of space between the spokes to see the rotors and the calipers, black rims look pretty good IMO. They look like painted steel wheels when the spokes are too close together.

Make sure yoiu give the rims a good wax while they are new. I do for the silver and the black rims, it makes them much easier to clean.
