Default More XE Project 8 Photos

Looks like near-production Project 8 car can also be found here, scroll through the photos and check out the red finished XE...the wing has been settled, looks better than their first prototype. Although i would replace the glass on top with carbon-fiber for the weight savings, as that glass panel weight is at the worst point on the car to have extra weight....and check out the brake upgrades on Red!

Where do you see the P8? I just see the camo and red SVR versions and I think the red version is just an old web pic?

They covered everything in the camo version including the grill sensor in camp but couldn't put tape on the JAGUAR words on the caliper, lol

If the XE is considered the lowest model of the brand and called the baby Jag then what do they call the P8 version of the XE since it will be so rare and hard to get as well as exclusive?
I try to picture another brand doing this to their lowest model and it seems silly but it must just be my perception I guess. ( I.E. Dodge Omni Demon, only 100 will be made and will cost $200k) lol.

Im a XE lover so I am all for it so don't get me wrong guys.

know what? i thought the SVR labeled red car was the P8, but now that I looked closer I realize I was mistaken. The P8 has expanded wheel wells for one...

here is a teaser where we get glimpses, and the tall wing has stayed after all.

My theory is tha Jag wanted to come out with an M3 crusher for bragging rights, and chose the XE for the platform as it is most comparable. BMW is introducing their "Concept 8" at the same time and place.

The P8 car will officially be released June 30, next Friday, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Anyone else think the name of the venue is "Punny?" (if you go the right speed at the festival you might get the Goodwood)

Di I read that price tag correctly? $250k+ for an XE is a reach by far to me, I rather have the P7 F-Type

I can kind of see where they get to 250K given the tech involved in the car... However, at that price point you could have quite a few exotics with similar speed potential. Makes sense they restrict them to 300 examples given that cost.

Now if they can take out a bunch of the bits that aren't going to matter to most people driving one on the road and retain the V8, quad exhaust, some of the styling and bring it in line with the M3 and C AMG prices, then i'm listening...

It will cost 190K

It is a 600PS track monster that happens to have 4 door sedan body.

Limited to 300 units

200K does not sound that bad to me.

BMW charges 130K for M4 GTS.

250K and it would only be a DB11 for me; sorry Jag.

That's $250K in australian dollars based on a direct conversion from the pound. I'd look at what you pay for a 150K pound car in the US for a better idea. EG the M4 GTS is a bit over $120K pound, so if this one is 20% more, maybe that will translate to $160K USD.

Seriously, you need to bite the bullet and buy an Aston

I've had mine just about a year now, and they really are brilliant cars. Makes a nice pair with the Jag XE you already have.
