Default Pedal Covers and a Dead Pedal Mod

One of the odd things about my XE is that the driver's floor mat does not go all the way forward. I was told it's because of the design of the accelerator. So where you put your left foot has no mat and not even a rubber surface to put your foot on. After a while the carpet is bound to get dirty there. So I searched for a dead pedal plate and when I found a nice shiny one, I thought it would look out of place with the two rubber pedals. The same seller (on Ebay) had a combination kit so I ordered that. It was only $28.62, with free shipping from China! It took 14 days to arrive, in good shape and nice looking. I put them on today and took some pictures.
(This is my first post with photos so I hope it works.)

Before.

After. Dead pedal is also shiny but flash didn't catch it.

Parts.

Backs. Dead pedal attaches with self-stick strip, others snap over. Original brake pedal pad must be removed.

Really nice !
Ordered out of eBay a 3-pedal set for manual shifter but didn't know what to do for the left footrest.

Looks great! Your pictures reminded me that I really wish the XE had a floor-mounted accelerator pedal. For some reason, those are just so much more comfortable for me...

I just noticed that Jaguar offers the brake and accelerator cover (no dead pedal) for $117. They may be better quality but it's something you put your dirty shoe on!
