Project 8 is Visiting JaguarForums Office on Aug 8th!
The Jaguar team, including Mark Stanton, Director of JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), and Dan Connell, Head of Global PR & Communications for SVO will be visiting our Los Angeles office to show off the new Jaguar XE SV Project 8 and answer any questions the community has.
We will be doing a live video on Facebook during the afternoon (PT) on August 8th. We will post the video here in the thread or you can follow the page to get notified when we are live:

I know @zach05855 has one on order and may want footage or answers regarding specific details? Who else may have questions about this stunning vehicle?

Nice!
I'd love to get some more detail on the technical side.
I've read the intercoolers and the intake manifold are different in the P8 compared to the normal 5.0SC engine. It'd be great to hear what specific changes the team had to make to those parts and why. Hoping for more technical details than just the generic "we needed cooler air and more of it"
Also curious how the suspension differs from the XE S, aside from being stiffer and lower and having the modified adaptive dynamics settings. Is it connected to the chassis differently in any way? Is the chassis itself stiffer due to modifications? Is the overall geometry the same as on the XE?
Lastly what is the timeline for an SVR or R and what aspects of the project 8 should we expect to carry over?

The air intakes and/or intake manifold are different from the normal V8. As to what's different about them, I'd like to know as well.

We got some additional information off camera that we will write up for the homepage and share within the next 24 hours.
The Project 8 seems to be, at the very least, as track focused as the Project7.
Only the front doors and the roof of the standard XE remain and everything else has been re-engineered specifically for handling dynamics, airflow, and weight balance.
