Matrix looks awesome! Congrats on getting the car by Chrissy! These things are just awesome to drive, my wife is raving about it. I wrapped the side sills (a bit of a production, if you want to do it let me know and I'll give you some tips). The colour is great, changes depending on the light.
The HUD is pretty useful. I turned it on, and I am usually distracted by things on the windscreen but the way it is set up it actually looks like the number is a lot further away so you aren't focusing on something close up.
Even the back seat is pretty roomy, at least it is hugely better than the V40 was. It wouldn't be much smaller than the current XF in the back, though that is tight for a biggish car. Maybe it is all relative, because we wedged my daughter in the back of my XKR a few days ago so she has a new appreciation for legroom.

That is gorgeous, Bruce and the same color we'll go with, eventually. Alas, being late to the U.S. party, my wife couldn't wait and and went with a '15 MB C-300. However, a couple of years from now, it will be in our garage if it turns out to be as great as I expect it to be.

Looks great! I would have had the black pack if I had ordered it rather than buying an already made one.
The Skoda tips slide on and essentially are wedged in place, I got them on with a pretty good shove and twist, though on the UK forums they were talking about giving them a tap with a hammer but shielded by a block of wood.

Took the XE for an extended mountain drive on the weekend. This wasnt nice sweeping curves, rather it was sharp bends (30 - 40kph), sometimes single lane roads, steep dropoffs. The poor steering wheel was nearly strangled as I have significant "heights issues".
But the car performed beautifully. The steering and suspension are perfect for the sub par roads, in fact one of the teens in the back went to sleep on the way back. A minor annoyance was that the rear view mirror blocked my view of the road going around left hand sharp corners, but other than that it made what would otherwise be a very nerve wracking drive a pleasant one. It is far superior on that kind of road to the XFs that I had, even though they were very good.
This car just keeps getting better.

You definitely had it in its element. That car absolutely loves those super tight corners that the heavier XF's aren't as fond of.
What amazed me was even though I didn't know the car very well, no matter how tight the corners got, I never felt unsure that it could take them at the elevated speeds I was traveling. So much fun.

What road did you take? We will be up on the coast on July. Our daughter is expecting in early July. Decided to bring the XE. Looking at getting a Car Bra.
