Rear Shock Replacement Advice
Hey All,
Took my 2017 Jaguar XE 35t R-Sport into the dealer for service today. They noted one of the rear shocks was leaking and required replacement. Quote for both rear shocks came in at over $2,400 CAD as this doesn`t fall under the extended CPO warranty. This seems like a lot, even for our vehicles, can anyone confirm? I am having trouble sourcing any aftermarket replacement options as well. Has anyone had luck replacing with aftermarket or sourcing a reasonable OE source in Canada?
Thanks!

I also have had a badly leaking rear shock absorber on my MY20 XE 2.0L and it seems to be quite a common fault.
Like you the dealer refused to replace it under warranty, so I did the job myself - it's just 3 bolts to remove and then swap the top mounting from the old one to the new one.
I did have a bit of difficulty sourcing a new shock absorber from anyone by Jaguar, but eventually found a supplier at £182 - David Manners in the UK ((www.davidmannersgroup.co.uk)
They might be willing to export to Canada.
