Signed all the paperwork yesterday afternoon. Brought her home, and promptly drove to a meeting in central MA. Just to break her in, mind you.
But before going, shot a couple photos at a friend's place on the way up.
Only niggle I see is that my iPhone 6 with IOS 10.2 drops the bluetooth connection on a random basis. Have to suss that out...they did all the software updates before delivery...and see that there's a few issues with it. I can always connect via usb, but that's the point of bluetooth, isn't it? Eliminate the copper between devices? Anyway....
Love the color and the stance.
Not a chip on her. And darn shiny. You get what you pay for, right?
Nice clean interior. Smells good, too.
Thought the interior proportions would be an issue to deal with between the XF and the XE...but, found the XE to be just right.
And lest anyone think I'm not sentimental about old faithful rides...the XF as I walked away from her. Yeah, I like rich, deep red colors on my rides. (pull-me-over red on my Lotus Europa notwithstanding)
Putting the two cars next to each other with the same color makes me really appreciate the aggressiveness of the XE front end. Also feels a lot slimmer. Congrats on the new ride and good luck!

Yup. Proves it's possible to get a 'muscular' appearance (or businesslike) without turning into a hoodlum ride.
Coming from a pair of XFR's I didn't think the XE would do the trick for me but now after owning it for some time I think the XE is the right size for my daily driving needs. Since they don't make a R version of the XF anymore I went with the XE as I think the R -Sport can get more out of it than the XF could.
Now if they made the XE in a 2 door version and kept the same size of it then I would be even happier as I was torn between the XE and the brand new Infiniti Q60 Red Sport.
Congrats on the purchase this week! Also picked up my XE this week, but settled on the Italian Racing Red after being torn between both reds for a long time. The Odyssey is such a great shade, and love the latte interior. Enjoy!!!

I can truthfully say, after a full week of ownership, that this car has exceeded my expectations (except for the niggle with the bluetooth connect to my iPhone...) in every way so far. Yeah, it's only a week, but compared to other new cars I've owned over the 40-some odd years of driving, the XE just is what they said it would be.
Normally would not have purchased a new model in the first year of its production, but, with the warrantee lasting longer than my lease, I'm really not going to sweat any issues; after all, in the end, it will be up to the mfr. to take care of it while it's in my possession.
I love the color combo...and, the supercharged 6 is sprightly enough for this 60-something driver. Not to mention just sweet handling in the AWD guise.
Yeah, I get into my XJs if I want to cruise in a land yacht...which has its charms too. But, I do find myself hopping over the last week just as often into the XE for the local runs...and smiling broadly as I weave into traffic, or take those decreasing radius banked exit ramps off the interstate with elan. Nice going, Jag. It even earns envious glances from the boy racers in their 3 series. That, in itself, is worth the price of admission.
I like the non R-Sport models i the Oddessy Red a lot but I hate my R- Sport in it, wish I went with Italian Racing Red or British Racing Green. People make a common rude racist color joke about my car all the time. They call it C**n Maroon or call it a J*gaur instead of a Jaguar and the next person to call it that will get punched in the throat. Sometimes they call it ****ar but I correct them and call it my Draguar (1320 term)

For me, it was a no-brainer to get the R-Sport in IRR.
Even my wife was looking at the colors in person and told me "If you don't get it in IRR, you're a fool". The next thing she said (gotta love her) was "That means you'll need the black package and the black wheels".
She's never given a damn what I drive but she really likes my XE.
