Touchscreen problems

In the past month, my touchscreen has twice decided to arbitrarily turn itself off.
So sound, phone, satnav, all gone, Well anything accessed via the screen.
After about 2 minutes it turns itself back on and works as if nothing had happened.
Has anybody else experienced this or got any ideas as to the likely cause?
Thanks for any help
Keith

Is the car under warranty? If it is, have the dealer check it.
If not, check the battery voltage. The car's battery might be on it's way out. There's a lot weird things that shows up when the battery is weak on these cars, electronic glitches, gear shift selector not rising (as reported by one of the members here), dash lights (check engine, air bag, etc flashing like Christmas lights).

Keith, it’s happened to me a couple of times in the 3 years of ownership and every time the dealer has told me a new download will fix it. The last one 10 months ago is supposed to enable the system to sort itself. I don’t know what to believe anymore. On the bright side it runs well and never let me down and I love driving it!

Thanks, Dafile.
Guess I will have to approach the dealer if it happens again. I had a software update for something about 2 yrs ago.
Jaguar barely exists as a company in Canada nowadays. My dealer, probably the largest, has only four Jags for sale -2 electric SUVs and two F-types Hopefully Land Rover techs will be OK with Jags for a while
The XE is a delight to drive, but without the touchscreen it's back to the 1960s. No phone. no radio, no GPS, no cooled seats.
Cheers
