Default Velocity AP 3.0 Tune

Hello! I was wondering on some information on my 2017 Jag XE 3.0. I have been contemplating getting the Velocity AP tune, along with the crank pulley. I haven't quite pulled the trigger, because I am a little concerned that my car has more mileage on it than it should do to the tune (just cracked 88k). It is outside the warranty, so no worries about voiding one, I'm just not sure I want to put the work into the car knowing it's almost at the 100k mark. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think the big question is how well maintained the Jag has been over the 88k miles. I am in the process of putting the crank pulley on at 70k. I have had the tune only (phase 1) since 55k with absolutely no issues what so ever. I held off on phase 2 until I got the upgraded coolant crossover pipes done.

I checked out the CarFax before I purchased the car and it seemed to have been maintained fairly well. Only 1 previous owner. It did need the coolant pipes replaced, and another hose was leaking that I had replaced as well (ended up finding out it was splashing coolant on the alternator after getting warning lights about the battery not charging and had to replace the alternator also). I went ahead and replaced the water pump and thermostat, got a new wheel bearing after the front driver side started to make some noise, and so far I think it's pretty solid. Needing to get the oil changed here soon, and I was contemplating the spark plugs done at the same time. Although, I do struggle to find a reputable/reliable shop to work on the car. The dealership was hesitant to install the metal coolant pipes I purchased (something about liability), but I did get the upgraded plastic when they did the job so they aren't the old style at least. I still have the metal pipes, should I ever find someone to put them on. I imagine I will have an issue installing the new pulleys/tune potentially with that in mind. My plan was to get the max tune, both pulleys, and just kind of stair step my way up as I go as far as what is actually installed and running. I figure I probably need some good brakes and may need to work on the suspension before going to the full 553hp the tune offers with the pulleys. Would like to upgrade the exhaust too while I'm at it. I really don't want to run it super hard all the time. I just want a sleeping beast I can take to the local Street Fights during the summer and stretch her legs .

How do the respective tune stages impact the MPG? I would really like to keep it as economical as I can while also having that extra power. Do the stages how to be tuned down or does it only impact when you are really pushing it?

Oil change is totally a DIY. Get an oil extractor, I have the compressed air driven one from HF. And get the oil filter cap socket from Amazon. You can let the extractor do its thing while you swap out the filter. Total time around 8 minutes. I buy LiquiMoly 0w-20 LR from my local NAPA but Amazon has it as well. I just prefer NAPA Gold filters.

Brakes are kinda easy but I do recommend getting a code reader that can do maintenance mode things like unclenching the rear park brake mechanism. Porterfield R4-S brake pads are the generally accepted best factory alternative. No dust and no squeak.
