XE 2018 35t vs 30t R-Sport

Newbie here, in terms of forum and Jaguar.
I'm coming from a Lexus and an X3 - looking to upgrade to a sedan in the XE flavour. The various dealerships here (Canada) are having a good lease rebate.
In an attempt to clear out stock the 35t vs 30t are priced the same. And I wanted to know if other than the engine (turbo vs supercharged) there was any other cosmetic differences between the two versions? Per invoice both are 2018 versions and loaded with similar trim options.
Your help would be much appreciated!

There are sleight changes to the wheel options, otherwise the interior and exterior are identical to my knowledge. The tooling remained the same at the factory through the two model years.
The biggest factor is although the brand new 4 banger in the new 3.0T is more fuel efficient, the tried and true V6 in the 2017 runs far smoother and is known to be EASILY tuned with re-map, so you can get over 400HP with the 6Cyl engine, making the 2017 a far more exciting option. Of course I have the 2017 and a tune, so I am very biased.
The "older" v6 is STILL what landrover chose to put in their latest high-end Velar, and still chooses to put in the 2018 F-type with the v6, if that tells you anything. (The new 4 banger is "cheaper" to manufacture).

couple of relates questions. I figure i would ask here instead of starting a new thread.
1) anyone from Canada can comment on the lease return policy of jag dealerships. Are they sticklers for every ding and scratch. The sales person said I should buy a lease return package which will cover me up to a certain amount.
2) how are the S models on the snow, especially city snow in the north east of continental US?
3) there is an armor package which fixes dings and scratches and tire wear and tear for the duration of the lease. Anyone have any more information on this? It works such that if I don’t the car I can take it to the dealership to get it fixed right away.

can confirm that the S model handles great in the snow - atleast what little of it we get here in vancouver. can barely make it slip if i tried with the awd and traction control on.
turn off traction control though, and you can get it sideways real easy

I recently went through the same exercise in Toronto
I decided a 4 cylinder 2 litre turbo boosted to 300 bhp v a 340 bhp 3 litre supercharged motor was no contest. They all seem to be similarly loaded models on the lot As you say JLR are keen to move stock.
Don't know about capabilty in snow yet, but I can't see why it would be different to any other 4wd sedan. We don't really get much snow in central Toronto
Most of the dealers offer lease return insurance these days. I assume they are a profitable sideline. Never heard of an armour package!

Didn't think there was much snow this year. Persistent, yes, but not enough to slow things down much. I am pretty sure the Jag. will deal with it.
Anyway I took a car off the lot at GTA. 35T Prestige line, in dark blue with 19" wheels and a couple of packages and leather interior. The rearview camera, blindspot monitoring and parking aid are a real asset, as this car is not easy to see out from to the rear and rear/side.

The AWD XE's are great in the snow, but Cintaurato Pirelli fragile awful tires. With snows the XE would be a beast. Has an ice mode and icy launch mode.
Most leases allow for very small dents and knicks. You'll have the car inspected before the lease return and if anything needs to be fixed, just go to a Paintless Dent Removal shop and take care of it.
I don't drive the XE much, but every time I do I am amazed at how flat it is and how well the electronic steering is compared to the competitors. Car is quite fast too!

That being said, the difference between the two engines is incomparable. Naturally aspirated 340 (which can EASILY be tuned to 400) is nowhere near the joy 30t will bring.

I've had the privilege to drive both - with regards to the ergonomics, the R-Sport comes with a different body kit: the only noticeable difference, in my opinion, is the front grill and read trunk spoiler. The interior is practically the same with the exception of the R-Sport badge and some different stitching.
That being said, the difference between the two engines is incomparable. Naturally aspirated 340 (which can EASILY be tuned to 400) is nowhere near the joy 30t will bring.

So Kevin did you drive the XE in the 30T, i.e. the 220KW 4 potter? They are taking orders in Australia for it but as far as I am aware there are no XEs in Australia with that engine in it, only some F Types.
I'm interested in it because the 30T is only $6K more than the 25T but with a heap more grunt, and about $30K less than the 6.

That's just something you'll have to find out yourself. If you're able to spend the extra money and not lose sleep over it, the 6 potter is night and day when compared to the T. From my experience, regardless of how little 'lag' the new turbos produce, the supercharged whine from the 6 is something that'll put a smile on your face regardless of the speed. Natural aspirated engines > turbos everday (unless you're running a boosted supra or skyline).
Use the 6.3L C63 AMG vc. the newer turbo version for reference.
