XE S Rear gearbox mount
Hi. I am new to the forum. I have a XE S that has a vibration in the driveline. Jaguar are telling me its done a rubber in the rear gearbox mount, replacement cost $960 [part only] and I have to wait 6-8 weeks for it to be shipped to Australia from the UK. Its a 2017 model car, V6 Supercharged with an 8 speed gearbox-has any one else had a similar problem/delay/cost experience. If I had a part number it may help!!

If Jaguar are telling you the part is $960, who is telling you it's $250?
You bought a luxury car that is very uncommon here and has an extremely limited dealership/parts network. You might want to get used to high prices and long waits - e.g. an OEM windscreen is almost $4000 and can take two months to get here.

dangoesfast. Hi and thanks for the response. The issue for me isn't the price, its the mark-up compared to what the actual landed cost of the part appears to be in Australia. The prices I obtained were from the UK- Jaguarlandrover classic.com-genuine OEM , listed as an authentic Jaguar part 107 pound=$205 AU, the second quote was from Britishparts.co.uk again an OEM part 87 pound, postage to Australia was another 49 pound, so all up 136 pound $260AU. These are retail and not trade prices.
Its a small part that would fit in a shoebox so I also struggle with why, if the parts supply in Australia is limited, an expedited delivery option at extra cost is not available. Having the car off the road for 6-8 weeks for a part that I could get in 7 days is a big ask. Luckily the part is covered by an extended dealer warranty, its just given me a heads up on what to expect post the warranty. I love the car, its quick and comfortable and handles beautifully.
